Patty and her sister were partners in a Salon and Spa business for 15 years. Born and raised in Kansas City, she relocated to Fort Myers then Cape Coral in 1995. She started painting at the Cape Coral Art Studio and and eventually the Cape Coral art league and Pine Island Art Association.
Later she decided that she would persue art as a business and opened up an art gallery and store called "Artsy Fartsy". There Patty taught painting and glass fusion, to beginners. To find time to do her own painting, she closed, with more than 100 artist displaying their work.
Patty is now a member of the Pine Island Art Association and sells her work thru various shows and contacts. She has been a member of the board there and also at the Cape Coral Art league. Patty was in charge of "Art in Public Places" for many years. That is a program for local artist to display their work at locations around Cape Coral. In the fall of 2010 she will resume teaching at the Cape Coral Art League. |
